Interview (Hirako Cosplay)

1. How long has to do Cosplay?
H.C : I'm cosplaying for five years. I started to sew and make all my costumes three years ago. 

2. Why Hirako, have any special meaning that nickname?
H.C : Hirako is the family name of my first character, Hirako Shinji. It is a girl japanese name which can be a bit weird for a male cosplayer. But I really like this nickname I wouldn't never change it ! 

3. What was for you the best cosplay characterization you made?
H.C :  I'm hesitating between Madara Uchiha, Sephiroth and Grell. I can't think I'm the best one for those characters but, I think Madara and I are ..Kind of the same person, otherwise Grell and Sephiroth were "more impressive" because I improved myself a lot making their costumes. 

4. What has been the most difficult in his opinion he has done?
H.C : The most difficult costume I've ever done was Sephiroth, indeed, not because of the coat iself but materials. My sewing machine didn't like it. At all.

5. Any good or bad experience you had doing cosplay?
H.C : Good side, I've met a lot of people there in Cosplay. Some of them became best friends and sometimes lovers. In Paris, I met Integra voice from Hellsing CAST. I was cosplayed as Integra. It was incredible. We talked together. That kind of dream...Hm. For the bad ones, I had a few eye infections while wearing lenses in con...Couldn't open eyes for a week. Huh.

6. How many attended events in your country?
H.C : France is kind of addicted to mangas and videogames. Here we have a lot of cons such as Japan Expo/Comic Con, Paris Manga, Paris Games Week, Toulouse Game Show, Epitanime, Japan Party ... 

7. Did anyone make this hobby inspired who or whom?
H.C : I've always been a great fan of the Fighting Dreamers Pro cause they're quite fun and talented. But I'm not particularly inspired by someone ...

8. Any tips for beginners in this cosplay?
H.C : BE CAREFUL. Seriously. It may be dangerous especially if you're from France. 
9. What has changed starting to cosplay in your life, good or bad?
H.C : Cosplay made me meet the greatest friends ever. So yeah I wouldn't say it was bad ...

10. Any inspirational phrase or motivation for starting this?
H.C : "Everything is possible."
